What do you use to clean the genital area?

Hello! What do you use to clean the genital area after using oil or something like this? My doctor prescribed to lubricate the vulva with peach oil and clean the genitals with some gel.

I rise with warm water and then lubricate with Emuaid after each void. When I shower daily, I walso wash the genital area with soap free products, rinse thoroughly with Warm water. Works well for me. If a flare up occurs....Cortizone 10 or Clob at night....

What do you mean by some gel? A particular type or brand? I was instructed by a specialist to use nothing but water, but sometimes I use coconut oil to actually cleanse not just moisturize. It's like using cold cream on your face.
Have never heard of peach oil.

I use Hydromol ointment its a barrier ointment but also turns soapy when mixed with water, I also would be weary of fruit oils.

I use epaderm to wash with and dont rinse it off completely as its a moisturiser too. I also use borax in a sitz bath a few times a week and i swab with it morning and night. Also use coconut oil, castor oil mixed with turmeric oil and Vit E for moisturising. I find its best to vary what i use to moisturise as LS seems to tolerate potions after a while.

Thank you for your answers! I'm 30 year old and i've just diagnosed LS, so confused. There are a lot of contradictory information about the treatment. Doc recommended camphor, peach or olive oil. And a gel for baby skin, but they also consist irritating ingredients. Usually i use only water, but now it is necessary to flush the oil as the doctor said.
I've used peach oil today at first time and it i feel burning. Maybe coconut oil is better and i should use it.

I think we all have been given contradictory advice by doctors. That's why you'll find so many different recommendations here. I think we have to just try different ways to get clean and to moisturize until we hit upon what seems to work. I'm in the US and we don't have Hydromol, but I do see it mentioned on this site a lot. My own doctor who is a specialist told me to use nothing but water to cleanse.
Good luck. This is a confusing disease to contend with.
