What does heart failure water retention around waist feel like?

Posted , 1 user is following.

I already get very swollen feet and calves with deep pitting.

I am now however notice I am getting quite plump around the waist.

How can I tell if this is due to eating to many calories, or is more heart failure fluid retention?

It has only occurred over the last few months. If I push my finger in, there is about half an inch of soft fat then it is hard.

I eat little but feel like I have stuffed so much food that I will burst, but still feel hungry.

I am looking like a heavy drinking yet have had less than ten pints this year.

I have up to 49% Occlusion of the mid LAD, and my right atrium is 175% the average for a male.
