What does psoriasis look like in the beginning

I have developed these red splotches all over my legs and arms. they just keep multiplying and there's no Rhyme or Reason to size or location. none of them are any larger than a dime but most of them are smaller than that. My rheumatologist notice them and she said it could be the beginnings of psoriasis. that sounds like an awful disease and I really don't want it. So I'm looking for you to tell me that she's wrong. LOL what did yours look like at the very beginning?

Red splotches with no rhyme or reason, but usually occur on both sides, that is not always true at first. Does it itch sometimes? When you scratch, does it flake or hurt? Why are you currently seeing Rheumatologist? Have you had a sore throat or strep in past few months? If answer is yes to any of these, chances are psoriasis. If you have PsA, almost guaranteed. Usually have psoriasis first, but not always the case.

check with a derm and ask for a biopsy. it could be psoriasis or a lot of other skin issues. a good derm will help you with a diagnosis and treatment options.

For your own good, better get it checked. It doesn't sound funny to me.
When it started, {picking runner beans under the (chrysanthemums' ) pollen from these flowers probably was the cause} mine was weeping scalp psoriasis, they were like tiny boils. It got worse after a GP prescribed wrong scalp medication. After creating problems for some patients she went back to her home town in Pakistan.
Anyway, I have been receiving proper treatment since last 4 years, and my skin condition has been much better. But, often acidic foods and drinks have caused inflammation and I am being careful to be on safe side.
Hope since you put up the message above, you have been diagnosed properly and are receiving proper treatment.
Your rheumatologist may be or may not be wrong.
What has happened after your last message I don't know, but, take care and look after yourself.
