What does this mean? My period has always been regular.

I recently went off birth control, about 3 months ago. My first two periods were normal. About a week before my period I had pinkish brown discharge that lasted for around 5 days. I was then a week late for my period. 4 days after my period ended i woke up feeling cramping and went to the bathroom and had brown discharge leaking out. That lasted for 2 days and it was more than just spotting. Brown blood just flowing out. I am concerned because I have a boyfriend and I am not on birth control. What could this mean? It is also concerning because I have never experienced this before and my periods have been regular ever since I started my period.

It could be just your uterus getting back to normal after coming off the birth control. If you dont experience it again then dont worry, but if it persists you need to see your doctor.

Are you trying to get pregnant? Without any birth control you are at a big risk of this happening.

A brown discharge and cramping are often signs of a very very early miscarriage.
