What else could it be ?

Back in may I found out my be has hsv2. I started to get an itching vagina right away. I waited 3 weeks and got tested for all studs. Tested negative for everything and positive for hsv1. My doctor said my Igm was negative for both but I had a high number >5 which means I was exposed at some point. Condoms makes burns my vagina and makes sex extremely uncomfortable. My bf and I decided we would try different once to see what works but it seems like they all burn my vagina. He decided that he would take acyclovir one week in advance before we have sex and avoid sex when he has breakouts. He hasn't had a break out since March. Occasionally we have unprotected sex. However the itchiness that prompted me to get tested never went away. It's like I don't feel it when I don't think about it. But sometimes it's itches so bad to the point where I have to scratch. I seems to get worse after I shave. I've had yeast infection in the past but it wasn't this mild. This itchiness comes and goes for a whole month. Today the itchiness was so bad. My vagina is sore, red and it burns to pee. No sores either. The itchiness is in my vagina and around the opening and occasional where my pubic hair is. I was going to buy monistat tomorrow to try it tomorrow. My doctor said to wait 3-6 months to test again for hsv2 since I tested negative <0.09. however this itchiness is getting extremely uncomfortable. what else could it be??? however="" this="" itchiness="" is="" getting="" extremely="" uncomfortable.="" what="" else="" could="" it="">

I cannot understand what you mean in your first sentence.

You need to go see an OB/gyno, because any good doctor w a seense and knew what he was talking about w STDs, would never put you in fkr an IgM. Only IgG should be used .

A 5 is a very high antibody count and means you've had it for some time. I'm going to assume this was for the HSV 1. It takes 4-6 mi the for antibodies to show for a new infection.

He should take anitviralw EVERY single day for suppression, if you really want to be safest. Were you guys ever having sex previously w out it burning and itching and this is a new occurrence? It is useless to take antivirals only selectively as you guys stated, if you're trying to protect yourself. You're also needing to cut down on asymptomatic shedding and that's the purpose of taking the antivirals, for when you have no symptoms, but can still be contagious.

I've had an issue w latex condoms in the past and had non stop itching from it and constant BV and yeast infections and was clueless I was allergic to latex. I would start taking a daily probiotic to keep your pH balance in check incase it is those issues and then see a GYNO and NOT a GP immediately, GPs are worthless when it comes to STDs. The rest is a waiting game, until you can get tested. I would wait till four months to be sure, from when you first started having symptoms, as I've seen people test negative a week sht of four months and then test positive the filling week. I've seen only one person take 6 months to develop antibodies.

Have you looked w a mirror down there when things are irritated? Keep in mind, heroes dies not present in over 80% of people w any symptoms or w some so mild, they don't link it to herpes. There was a girl on here recently that just had one raw red spot, no ulcers and that was her primary OB. Then there are people like me, who herpes unleashed H*ll upon. 😜

I do not have herpes according to my test. Yes the 5 was for the hsv1 and 0.09 was for the Hsv2. What are some probiotics to take over the counter? It always used to burn when we use condom of lube. The Burning after peeing just started today and my vagina feels sore as if I had a long rough sex. I have no red spots. It's just my vagina looks inflamed and red.

I understand, but as your doc and I said. It takes time to develop antibodies. I blood tested negative a week after infection and was positive three months later.

The only advice to give, is what I said it could be and what you should do in the first post. Again, most people do not present w sires and spots, but either no symptoms or redness, burning, itching, tingling, etc and no sires. You won't know until you get tested for BV, yeast and in 3 months blood IgG cir herpes 2
