What exercise to take at 4 weeks post-op?

I had a scarf osteotomy and 2nd toe straightened with k-wire on 11th October. When I was discharged the following day, I was told by physio to just rotate my ankle to stop it stiffening. The stitches were removed two weeks later and the consultant said that I should not wiggle my toes and needed to only heel walk until my next appointment on 25th November. I've realised that my ankle is getting quite stiff with the unnatural position from wearing the heel-walking shoe so have been flexing my foot in the opposite direction, definitely helping to relieve it. I'm just concerned that I'll not have beenmoving my toes until over 6 weeks after surgery, whereas some of the online advice sheets I've seen stress the importance of moving toes from much earlier as, without doing so, full movement takes much longer. Think it might be another one to check with physio over the phone but has anyone else been advised to be wiggle-free for this long?

All my toes Wiggle nicely but I am hesitant about wiggling my big toe (it will Wiggle though). I wondered if I should because as I left the hospital, the nurses told me to, but the doctor didnt mention it so I don't know if I should or not. I worry about stiffness, but I know he had to repair the tendons when the fixed the metatarsal bone.

Not sure about popping or snapping sensation but certainly for the first few weeks, I think it's quite normal to get quite severe pain across the toes, even after the first 5 days which is when, in theory, it is not really painful. I found that it tended to go away after a while but if not, I resorted to painkillers. Hope this helps.
