What finally cured my HS

It's sugar. I stopped eating sugar and for the first time in 3 years I've gone more than a day without pain. It's been a week and a half now and i feel like I'm in a dream, like a dark weight has been lifted.
I have one tract under my right arm and about a dozen recurring cysts between left and right underarms. The very next day after i stopped eating sugar the stinging stopped. The wounds are healed and the lumps are getting smaller and smaller, the tract is also closing up.
So far I've had pasta, coffee, cheese, red meat, fried and oily foods, diet soda, fresh fruit, and they don't seem to have any effect. Unfortunately nothing at all with sugar in it except fresh fruit. I had gnocchi from trader Joe's which had about 30g of sugar in the sauce and felt some stinging the next day.
I'll keep testing things like honey to see what affects it, but i just wanted to write this up and hope as many people as possible see this and it works for them.

YES!!!!
I've been saying sugar for a while in this group! you are exactly right! i stopped sugar a little more than a year and a half ago. INSTANT relief and within a couple weeks all bumps, boils and the like were gone!!!
BUT you have to be serious about not consuming sugar anymore. I check ingredients on EVERYTHING! for me I'm safe with less than 8g in a serving like a yogurt. absolutely no refined sugar or it comes back. Just like you, i find fruit is ok. honey no, not for me. I really hope this helps others!! I used to have terrible HS and am completely symptom free for a year and a half!! just two slip ups with sugar but got right back on track. Life is so much better, i feel like a normal person and will gladly not eat sugary foods if it means my life is back! if someone is reading this and hasnt tried eliminating sugar, id reccomend it! but get off of it completely before you experiment with adding in any amount. like i said, i can only have less than 8g.

Have you had any issues with certain fruits or eating too many? I haven't been able to do a lot of testing yet. How about diet soda? I've had some but not large amounts. I'm curious about any tips you've found so far on what sweet foods may work

No issues with fruits. I find natural is ok. Yes diet soda has been ok for me too. I'm constantly figuring out the sweets! It's so hard because I love to bake 😦 I'll add stevia or truvia to sweeten things up or in coffee. Small doses of the ice cream "enlightened" which is very low in sugar has been ok for me. Not halo top though which is odd....Maybe I just ate too much. Still trying to find a good bulk substitute for sugar for baking though.
