What foods can I try to improve my sleep?

I have not been sleeping well and i think a major reason may be my diet. I often eat dinner an hour before bed, and my dinner normally consists of rice or pasta. Could this be the reason why? Additionally, I've heard myths about turkey contributing to better sleep, is this true? Overall, what foods would you suggest for me to have so that i can get some better sleep? Thanks
