What foods increase anxiety?

So I am well aware that I have a big problem. And it’s called anxiety. Now I’m wondering what foods I should NOT eat. Everyone tells me change your diet. But to what? What is good to eat?

The thing I most definitely avoid is caffeine, it’s the absolute worst for me. Eating a lot of unhealthy junk is also bad, especially sugar, which an occupational nurse told me the other day. It’s important to eat lots of fruit and vegetables. I have a really sweet tooth so this is going to be tricky for me. Also try to get in some exercise to, even if it’s just out for a stroll during an anxious period and you don’t want to stray too far from home.

I know people have said that certain things like kombucha can increase their anxiety but from experience, nothing with caffeine in it at all, that includes some chocolate. READ ALL LABELS!!! I think everyone is different but with me it is anything that causes issues with my tummy, which causes me anxiety, which causes me issues with my tummy. So I try to stay away from spicy foods, anything super greasy or fried, anything like orange juice or tomato sauce which causes excess acid production in my case and is no fun. There are all kinds of "anxiety diets" but you have to find what works for you. I would suggest keeping a food journal and make a note anytime you eat something and experience any issues, then try removing that item from your diet and keep notes on how you feel afterwards. You have to design something that works for you since we are all different.
