Thank u for replying. Since my "almost" surgery I saw my primary , my cardiologist and my surgeon and each one of them gave me a different answer on what happened that day.

In that case you need to get second opinions all around. Also see if there is a recording of the surgery in case someone may have a mistake in the OR and they are trying to hide it. I don't mean to upset you, I hope this advice can help

Thank u Rose! Unfortunately I need the surgery still because of ankle screws disrupted due to a fall! I'm not getting straight answers on what happened that day now I'm so scared to have surgery

I would say you definitely need to make a doctor's appointment and talk to your doctor or if you're still in the hospital and then talk to your doctor when they come in because you definitely want to know what's up and what kind of decisions you need to make and water available to you

I didn't see yours and Roses reply and till after I had wrote my comment but so if you know you still need the surgery then what are your options and what are your risk that's what you need to find out

Hi Stephanie I think what's scaring me most is since that day I'm not getting a definitive answer on what made my heart stop on the OR table. Since that incident 31/2 wks ago I saw 3 of my drs with all dif. answers

That's scary/traumatizing. You can always go to a different Dr. and get a second opinion, and discuss what happened to you, and get more information from them before having surgery done. Also you should be able to have access to your medical records on what happened that day, and if you go to a new Dr. you can have those medical records transferred, and your new Dr. can see what went wrong and go over the information with you. I hope this helps :-)

Hi Mary what's troubling most of all is I'm not getting straight answers from a surgeon I put my faith in! He's acting nonchalant about a serious episode

Hi,
By law you are allowed to get access to your own medical records, and if they keep giving you trouble, then you can get a lawyer to look at what's going on because you aren't being treated fairly. Patients have rights.
