CBD oil contains no THC which is the ingredient that makes you high, but can help with neuropathic pain. If you're comfortable with it smoking a joint may help. There is really nothing else except for surgery (brain or spine) DBS/DRG and possibly spinal injections. I have total sympathy with you mate, I have suffered with excrutiating pain for over 20 years and am still at square one.

I have tried CBD oil and also THC+CBD oil and NO help at all for my neuropathy due to chemo. It did help to relax a bit though

I started having neuropathy in my feet 4-5 years ago or so (when I was pre-diabetic, which I still am) and a podiatrist suggested 5,000 mcg of Biotin a day, which helped almost immediately (within days, I believe), but I had to cut back soon after because it created serious adult onset acne at age 49 (although my hair and nails also grew much faster).
For years, I kept my neuropathy at a manageable level with just 3,000 mcg supplements or so per day. In recent months, the pain and tingling has gotten much worse, for no apparent reason. I upped my Biotin back to 5K mcg but massive acne returned, so I reduced the Biotin and added Alpha Lipoic Acid (250 mg) 2-3X daily, which I do think helped, but not enough. I have now stopped Biotin completely, although recently read that ALA can reduce your body's natural intake of Biotin, so we'll see if I need to add some back into my diet.
Then about a month ago, I tried Penetrex cream on my feet and that gave me immediate (and complete) relief, though only for maybe 4-8 hours, I'm guessing. Still, a breakthrough for when it got really bad. Through more research, I discovered copper-infused compression socks that I bought on Amazon, and again, my condition improved, though not completely.
My biggest a-ha moment came only about a week ago when I read that acid blockers -- especially PPIs like Nexium -- can block B12 and Magnesium and cause neuropathy. I've been taking Nexium for many years and upped the dose about 2 years ago from 20mg to 40mg. I read an online study that PPIs resulted in neuropathy far more than those using H2 Blockers (like Pepcid), so I switched about 4 days ago from 40mg Nexium to 20mg Pepcid and felt almost immediate improvement. In fact, I haven't had to put Penetrex on my feet for 4 days straight after doing so every day for a month. Warning: H2 Blockers do not block acid as effectively as PPIs -- and I do have a history of GERD -- so we'll see how it goes. I've also read that statins can lead to neuropathy, but I'm trying one thing at a time. I still have neuropathy, but it has improved with each step.
I hope this helps someone!

Hi there,
I have been suffering since May 2017 from a very bad side effect from my colon cancer chemotherapy. CIPN and I have tried basically every medication prescribed to me including:
Lyrica, Cymbalta, Effexor, Tramacet, Tapentadol, also THC+CBD and CBD by itself and nothing has helped at all other than giving me extra side effects that are very unpleasant.
My symptoms started from my toes and fingers and slowly progressed to my feet and hands, slowly has progressed still to my legs and arms and right now its up to my knees and elbows too
Burning sensation, numbness, pin and needle sensation, electric shocks, to name a few are felt 24/7 from my toes up to my knees and from my fingers up to my elbows.
when on bed, the blanket feels like a 100 pounds blanket on my feet specially and therefore unable to sleep
I also suffer from depression and anxiety, unable to sleep (maybe 2 hours per night at best)
every time I touch something with my fingers (phone screen, keyboard, etc) it feels like a electric shock and burning sensation
cant handle the cold nor the heat. it feels extra cold and extra hot when touching surfaces either cold or hot
cant take this anymore and I really need some kind of help if any for this
I had have few second opinions from deafferents specialist and basically they are saying this cant be fixed nor treated
any help is much appreciated
thanks in advance
Jorge
