What has happened to my thumb and how can I treat this?

Hi, I had a deep cut on my thumb in April. After that, it has become something like this. I don't feel any discomfort unless I stretch my thumb or put pressure on the affected area.

What is this called and how can I treat this? Kindly help me cause I want to fix this.

Hey, did you get surgery on your thumb? Because same for me I cut myself and I have a big ball growing on the scar now and it's indeed very annoying. Doctors told me it was because of the stitches on my tendon did not disolve properly. So maybe you too?

I did not get a surgery but had a pretty bad cut from a film-cutter. I had some butterfly stitches applied to it and then it was removed. I think we have the same problem but how do you resolve this? Can you show me pictures of your injury too if you don't mind?

I am really worried about this. Did your doctor say that this can be harmful?

I did a post on reddit, there are pictures at the end. From what the 2 surgeons I saw told me it is pretty much its scar tissues and I can get surgery to remove it but they both advised me not to as it would fragilize my tendon. Since you didn't cut any tendon or nerve I think you might be okay, you should maybe try to see a hand specialist physiotherapist as I think your scar should probably have been massaged after the stitches. I saw some people that had pretty much the same thing as you but all over their hands and I believe the physiotherapist helped with that.
