What helps you at your lowest?

So - I'm having a really bad week. I'm constantly drained, and in agony 24-7 but I have so much I have to do that I have to keep pushing and pushing. And I just don't want to anymore. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia after I survived meningtis and it left me with nevous system damage.

At my worst I wish I hadn't. Which is very selfish I know. But - I remember the girl I was before; I had so many hopes and dreams that were crushed because I just don't have the physical energy anymore. I was a very active outdoors type who took on 50 million things at once. Right now I'm struggling to find a comfy way to sit in this chair just to write this without crying!

Please. Share me some wisdom. Some support. Help me push through this?

Hi! So sorry that you are this low. I will tell you only one thing. According to the information I have got, and I have every reason to believe that it is true, the secret of fibromyalgia will be resolved during the year 2018. Just hold on! Some light at the end of the tunnel! Be well!

    Hi dear rainfalls

Don't think about how you were before fibromyalgia cuz it doesn't help you and it makes you sas .think about what you can do now and what you should do to get better. I take pregabalin 75mg twice a day and effervescent magnesium once a day.these help me alot

Well girl, one secret to dealing with this condtion is to have Reasonable expectations. To know your Limitations. You sound like a very ambitious and somewhat high strung person. Sometimes unrealistic demands were placed upon us while we were growing up and we may continue to put these demands on ourselves as a Result. Our own thoughts can sometimes be our worst enemy since we can create unnecessary stress on ourselves. So getting a more balanced view of what you can do and then accepting these more reasonable expectations can truly help you to cope better. Can you delegate to others at times? Is it that crucial that you get all of these tasks Done? I think that you need to realise that your body can no longer keep up with your goals. So begin to treat yourself as you would a dear friend sweetie. Learn to be more gentle with You. Concentrate more on what you Can do, and not what you used to do. What we used to do, is most likely what got us to this limited point today. I have learnt that Perfectionism is not a quality. There is no such thing. We all have our limitations. Take good care of yourself sweetie. Maggie x

yes i am on pregablin, magnesium oil spray  and amitriptylene too, One thing that i kept was my art because it is the most important part of my identity. i am always prepared to cancel plans if i have to. I only put one thing in my diary a day and thats in the morning because its the best time for me. Afternoons i have to sleep and then i can do a bit more. Pain wears you down and makes you depressed  so its a vicious circle. i like to swim as its the only exercise that doesnt have a negative effect on my joints etc.  dont try to achieve too much or you will feel that you are failing.
