What is causing this atrophy in my head ? Do I have Parry Romberg Syndrome ?

Around 2 years ago , I began to notice a subtle ridge form in the temporal region of my head.

Ever since, the ridge has grown deeper and has spread down my temple. I have had a head scan and there appears to be a huge , straight ridge not just down my temple , but that extends all the way down from the crown of my head, in a perfectly straight line.

I have been to my GP at least three times asking them about my head, but none of them know what is wrong with me. The tests show that whatever is wrong with my head has not caused any damage to my brain, and therefore they just seem to have dismissed it.

However, at the rate that my head is deteriorating (shown over the course of just two years in the photos below), I am sceptical that whatever is wrong with me is something to ignore. image

My temporal region on my right side of my head has always been very tender to touch, much more so than the left. But I did not think that this would happen , and it shocks me to think what may happen to mt face in another two years if i don't get help for this.

The fact that the disease / whatever is deteriorating the soft tissue on the right side of my face down to the bone, is not affecting my functionality other than aesthetically leads me to think that it is some form of autoimmune disease. I have done some research and the symptoms of Parry Romberg Syndrome seems to match my symptoms; its progressive, it usually starts in the forehead (mine started on my forehead near my temples), and it only affects one side of the face.

What do you think my problem may be ? What treatments can i have to stop the disease progressing ? And what can i do to fix my face?

Im desperate.

Thanks for your help.

That's really odd. I never seen anything like that before.

I don't have any answers except I wanted to say that don't trust the doctors, they know very little and they don't care about what's happening to you. I believe something is wrong here and you need to do everything you can to find the answer. I would try a cranio chiropractor and possibly a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine - the one who does manual manipulation to take a look at you. Don't give up and best of luck!
