What Is My GI going To Do?

Posted , 5 users are following.

I've been in a flare since last Wensday ( I have UC) and gone to the hospital twice where they HD to rehydrate me and give me medication for the pain.

I'm going to the bathroom five or more times a day. It's all very watery. My stomach is hurting so bad I can't eat. Everything I eat makes me have to rush to the bathroom and I'm going on day to witho it food and if it goes to Thursday it'll be day four. I can't sleep at night because mu stomach is hurting so bad.

I'm seeing a new GI doctor this Thursday but I'm not sure what he'll do for me. Does anyone have any idea? I'm actually kinda scared of doctors. Why I put this off for so long like a dumby.

    Hi Jamie

Have they gave you a colonoscopy yet?

Don't put it off it's a horrible disease and without help it won't get better.

I had it for 11 years then I had a flare last year which continued while pregnant and with a baby had to have an illestomy in September but I have my life back and hope to do the j pouch in the near future ..

Keep us posted on what the doc says good luck.

Classic symptoms! You need to have your meds reviewed. New doctor should help you sort this out. Good luck. There is light at the end of the tunnel. Stay strong!

Hi Jamie, you need a full assessment to get hold of these symptoms as there are so many drugs and doseages and ways of application out there, at the moment you are just firefighting. If you have a chance to get to the best in UK then do, you can get referral from GP under NHS to the best IBD Hospitals in UK, St Marks Harrow London or John Radcliffe Hosp Oxford. They are the gold standard and treat so many in the UK that they have loads of experience.

    Gool luck to you.

    sheila.
