what is one's up close vision like if IOL set at -1.75 or -2.00?

Does one's up close (very very near vision) get a bit more fuzzy if one goes with -1.75 to get a bit more of the 'intermediate' (computer) range?
I will ask the doctor but wanted to see if someone here had experience with this type of IOL setting so I would know what to expect (but i know everyone has different factors in their case).
Thanks.

my intermediate is set at -1,50. i see clearly the car dash, computer distance, but cheap readers for reading (+1.25) i can see closer if there is plenty of light, and my eye are moist. in a pinch i can see close if the fonts are bigger than 11 0r 10. my iol is monovision.

Hi Mutti,
.
What brand and model IOL did you get implanted?
.
I'm having my surgery done very soon, with a -1.75 target and am still trying do decide between at least two options due to the marked variation of PCO with various types of IOL! 😮
.
Julissa, I would also be interested in what brand and model IOL you are considering too. 😃

Hi DonD,
I have a near setting of -2.50 and both eyes will be set to near.
Actually haven't yet done 2nd eye.
But both eyes will have monofocal Tecnis I think it is zb00. The basic type of acrylic IOL.
I am not able to have intermediate with the -2.50. I suppose I could have 2nd eye set for intermediate but I think for me personally it'll be better to have both eyes much the same, but I'm still puzzling a bit on that.

i had a monovision lens.I had a knee replacement 2 years ago. I didnt care what prothesis was used, the knowledge and skill of the surgeon is what determines success. Same with cataract surgery, i researched and found a highly skilled surgeon. So far, pleased with my knee and eyes!

Hi Julissa,
.
Thanks for your reply.
.
What's you experience with the Tecnis ZCB00 which I'm also considering? Have you experienced any dysphotopsia (glare, starburst, halos, edge shadows etc) with it during the day or with bright lights at night?
.
You may also want to ask your ophthalmologist about the the new Tecnis Eyhance ICB00 Monofocal for your next surgery as it has some additional power in the intermediate range?
.
A Mini-Monovision configuration might be worth consideration too as it provides a wider visual range, This is what I'm considering except for distance and intermediate/near (≥50-60cm). 😃

The Eyehance isn't available yet, I don't think. I'm just getting another regular Tecnis.
I haven't had any problems - I had a halo at first at night but that was like one week post-op. No more halos at night but then again I haven't checked lately at night.
You can use the search too as there are a few comments on this lens on this site.
No problems during the day of which I am aware.

its individual . You cant really compare . My right eye is 150 and working with the astigmatism calculations i achieved near and intermediate . My left eye has more astigmatism and was just done yesterday so right now I cant see sht. Im hoping it improves quickly. It had some issues (The eye or the surgeon?) and Im on lots of different drops 😦
