What is the beige sandy grit in mouth?

I have had salty thick mucus, after having dry mouth for moths.  Is this the stones from my salivary glands that started?  I just saw a post that said grit is stones.  Please help!!! I have been drinking a lot of fluid also ate the lemons The grit is a stone  I was scared when I saw this.  This site has helped me so much. My face still swollen and the salt taste etc still there.

    Why don't you go and see your Dr especially if you face is swollen ,you might need antibiotics and if you need to go for tests he will decide.

    It is dry mouth at night so bad it develops to sand.  Don't know why. I now have that in the morning and thick mucus. I have burning really bad in mouth and tongue really really bad. I was hoping Dr. will do a culture to find out why thick mucus.  I have had VRE in my ears before so afraid what culture will show
