I've searched everywhere to try and discover what the parameters are of an enlarged prostate.
Are there tables of average size (in ml.) of the prostate across the age groups so I can get some idea about what would be 'small/average/large' ?

You need to search but the definitions may vary from one country to another.
Roughly speaking, up to 35cc is normal (or slightly enlarged depending on the age) and over 80cc is very large.
The size by itself does not tell the severity of the problem.
