What is the difference between regular Effexor 75 and the RX or what ever it is

Hi can anyone tell me the difference between the 2 different kinds of Effexor

    The regular is immediate release and the XR is extended release meaning that it is released into your body over 24 hours   The regular does not stay in your body as long as XR which is why sometimes Dr will have you take half dose in AM and half dose in PM
