I'm so scared this is herpes.. can anyone tell anything?

I had pains after sex with my partner (it was rough so I didn't think much) and thought I tore. I now have a few red sores that I thought were ingrown hairs but after googling I'm concerned it could be herpes. its 3 days since I realised something was wrong and although the pain is getting less I'm still concerned.

just to add an end to this, I went and got tested and its hsv-1 (which my boyfriend has since told me he has). it didnt get much worse then pictured although I did have a few pimple like spots along side the sore. I was put on 5 day antivirals and almost a week after it started it's almost all cleared up!

They look highly suspect. GO to an urgent care facility and have any doctor do a swab test. Its hard to tell just on visual analysis. I went to two medical professional for the bumps I had on my vulva ((you can look at my pics)) and both said they were inclusion cysts. The urgent care physician did a full pap smear for me and a full STD panel including blood test and swabbing, just for my peace of mind. Dont waste your energy or stress until you know for sure. Most doctors will know immediately if its herpetic. So get to a physician while you have lesions! IF they prescribe antivirals before a lab confirmed diagnosis, they are sure its herpes. UNtil then, dont stress!! I stressed!! MY blood pressure was 157/97 , i couldnt leave the hospital until it went down. I was so scared and all for nothing. the internal damage if stress is likely more harmful than herpes! GEt to the doc asap, until then, drink hot tea, do some yoga, breathing exercises and relaxxxx.

Be careful with all the fear mongering that goes on around here. Remember the skin around your genitals is still skin and if you saw this anywhere else on your body you would not be alarmed. Go see a medical professional and get tested. There is no reason to be alarmed until a medical professional runs lab tests and gives you the result. Don't create problems you don't have yet.

yeah, I got so worked up with looking on the internet. I've since been to the doctors and they said it looked like it could be herpes, put me on anti viral but now I just need to wait for results. as bad as the fear mongering is it definitely kicked my ass into gear with getting an appointment.

are you feeling better? is it healing?

I'm feeling mentally better? I had a full on breakdown when thinking what it could be but now I know I'm atleast working towards fixing the issue.

the out break has actually worsened but I think that shows how quickly I managed to catch it and go to the docs. it's been 3 days since I really noticed somethings up so I'm hoping itll heal soon. it's so painful and I've been struggling to sleep so it's been overall exhausting

how does it look now? how has it changed? the fact its getting worse might mean its not herpes.

sorry but herpes ulcers do sometimes get worse before they get better ..
