What is wrong with my throat....

about 4 months ago I woke up and my whole throat felt swollen, it passed the next day so I thought nothing of it. but since then I've been experiencing the sensation of a lump in my throat, not a physical lump, a feeling of one, intermittent nausea, no headaches, no visible lumps or swellings, not coughed up any blood in spite of having a cough, not noticed anything in my mouth (I check every other day), some times the throat swelling comes back. it's baffling, and honestly it's getting me down. I've spoken to my GP and they said it's probably nothing to worry about 😕
