What is your external rotation like?

Posted , 8 users are following.

Hi folks, I'm wondering what people are experiencing with external rotation? How far can you move your arm out to the side when the elbow is bent at 90 degrees by your side? Does it move at all, does it pivot properly? If it resolved for you, what was it like, how long did it take? Where do you feel pain if you cannot move your arm out to the side? Does it hurt to run?

the other position I'm wondering about is external rotation in abduction, ie, can you put your arms up against the wall behind you, like you are being arrested? As you got better, Did one of these movements return faster than the other?

many thanks for sharing your experiences.

No surgery no PT. I elected to let it run its course naturally. After 1 yr from the start I can do both moves. Those two were the last to get back.
