What kind of sedatives can you safely take with cortisone?

One side-effect of cortisone use is irritability & hyperexcitability manifested with anger episodes and rage. These effects are further worsened in people already suffering from anger issues i.e. short-tempered people. What medications can one use in this case?

I have to ask why you would even want to continue with this medication if it gives you these side effects? If you decide to take a Benzodiazepine to treat your anxiety you are only adding disastrous results to the mix as they too will create even more anxiety and depression over time. Then you will be faced with two very dangerous drugs that in the end will make you feel worse than you ever have before in your life. And God be with you when you ever try to get off them. So please don't add xanax, klonopin, ativan ect, ect, ect. You will regret it. If you must continue with the cortisone, please seek out a non-addicting anti-anxiety medication. Please read what others have to say concerning coming off their benzo's. I barely made it alive.

Thanks for your reply. It's actually not a personal issue of mine, rather than of an acquaintance. But since I'm currently a student in Medicine (3rd year) I'm understandably concerned and would like to research any voids left by the doctors curing this case.
So the relatives of this person have been complaining about his recent behaviour as beaing unbearable, assuming that the corticosteroid medication has worsened it. That's why I was wondering if it was safe & beneficial to use a sedative (benzodiazepines or else) for calming effects.

Please take the time when you're able to sit down and really watch this video - it's heartbreaking of what we have to to through withdrawing from a drug that our own Doctors prescribe and then won't tell us that we will become addicted to them or that we will want to kill ourselves from intolerable withdrawals. They tell you absolutely nothing. At least my Mental Health here. And the Doctor at my Emergency Room when it was either drive there or die at home. My own family Dr. said there was nothing she could do either. So we are left to suffer in silence. And that is so wrong.
This video from Youtube/klonopin withdrawals by this a young woman 'TheMeeshxo - Benzodiazepine Awareness'. Her story captured my heart because I not only thoroughly understood every single word she said but I felt it - because I've already been there. Thank you & Merry Christams
