sad I have been following this site after being diagnosed with PMR in August 2007. I have always found it very helpful and makes me realise I am not alone. In fact it has kept me going a lot of the time. I also want to thank Eileen who replied to one of my postings a few months ago at length and I never got back to her as it was just before I went on holiday - sorry. I now have plenty of time as at the weekend I slipped - while trying to stay active - and broke my fibular bone. A broken leg was the last thing I needed but the rest is doing me good because all my other aches and pains seem to have gone. I'm sure they will return with avengance. Even after all this time I am still taking 1.5mg of predisolone and still have stiffness - its suggested that it is caused by the steroids. At my last blood test a month ago my esr and crp levels were fine but liver enzymes were very high and the doctor has told me not to drink for 6-7 weeks and then be rechecked. As they would say up here Lucky White Heather. Thanks for listening

Just wanted to tell you that the people on the other forum, Arthritis Canada, also use Ragnar's method. I am so pleased I found that site and you and learned so much from your experiences and what seems to be now, many moons ago.

Its was so nice you dropped in and told us you were still around and still well.

    I love success stories.

Good Luck and if you are ever in the North East England - drop by.

    Hi RBLO!

You could also consider 2.5mg on one day and 5mg for the rest of the week for the first week. If that feels OK, take 2.5mg on 2 days, spaced a couple of days apart, the second week and then 2.5mg on 3 days for weeks 3 and so on. If you feel any wobbles - do 2 weeks of each.

    Good luck,

    EileenH
