are you getting your glasses on line? Do you think you will need glasses for correction after cataract surgery? after my left eye was done, i just had that left lens popped out. no problems. btw, i was scheduled one week between surgery. I decided to do 6 weeks.

I'm looking for where I can do that cheaply online. In highly myopic and only having monofical toric for distance. So I need to see close and intermediate. will need glasses for sure fir those distances. but cant keep paying for glasses when vision can change week after week...and still need to have close up and intermediate

I just popped out the lens on my glasses for 6 week wait between surgeries. Not sure it is worth purchasing for that in between time for a few weeks

I was highly myopic, too, before my surgery and I thought I would just be able to pop out the right lens from my glasses to wear until I had my left eye done. It did not work for me. Instead, I functioned with only one good eye until I had my second surgery. Like you, my second surgery was scheduled for a week after the first but I wasn't comfortable proceeding so quickly so I rescheduled for 5 weeks later. By the time 5 weeks rolled around, I was anxious to get it done because I was tired of the disparity of vision between my eyes. Good luck with your surgery! I remember the fear beforehand but was surprised how easy the experience was,

thank you. It's good to read that the fear beforehand was replaced with feeling the experience was easy at the end of it

I have worn contacts for the last 45 years, on and off. My plan is to use a contact in the non IOL eye for the first 6 weeks, and then get new prescription glasses. At this time I do not expect my second eye will be done even within a year of the first eye.

I made do with readers during the 1 month between my surgeries and the 1 month after until my second eye settled in. May not work for you if you need higher correction in your non-operated eye.

If you have a script, frames direct and a few others seem to be pretty cheap. I also have a pair from Warby Parker that have been good. Unsure on the remakes, but single distance vision is only $100, and you can get new lenses (same frames) fpr $50.
