What Reflux Treatments Work for You?

Hey,
It's been 6 years since I had my surgery for Achalasia. So far so good. I've adapted to it and find eating manageable. Having been said, I still suffer from quite severe reflux. There is no real pattern to my reflux. It comes at random times although I'm more likely to get it in the morning as soon as I get out of bed.
I was wondering if anyone has any treatments that they can recommend?
If the reflux is in the early stage and hasn't crept up to my throats then I usually find that I can get rid of it by eating a lot of dry foods fast (such as bread, crisps, crackers, busicuits etc).
I was wondering what works for everyone else.
I haven't had much luck with Gavisxon tablets, baking soda and the likes.
Thanks

Just curious as to what procedure was done for the achalasia. My 14 yr son has been diagnosed with Achalasia also but we scared stiff of surgery at his age. Also, at his age whilst he is still growing, how long any surgery would keep the achalasia at bay is a big unknown.
Anyway, could you share the procedure? Was it Hellers myotomy or was it the POEM? Did they do the fundoplication I.e. The wrapping of the stomach around to try and limit the reflux?
Thanks
SJS

Sorry...the surgery. Since then, I have been diagnosed with barretts disease and I take pantaprozole which helps tremendously. I don't suffer with reflux at all.
