They know nothing. You basically just have to ignore all the crazy symptoms, including breathlessness, weird tastes or no taste and chemical or rotten odors, bad headaches, rib pain and back pain, chest pain and hurt to take deep breath, extreme exhaustion, (I know) and tell yourself just hormonal. Otherwise, doctor looks cross-eyed at you and puts "Hypochondriac" in your chart. Two things helped me with these things, Vitamin D and Magnesium Oil rubbed into hands and feet every other night.

And then don't even try to describe the more "vague" things like "hot head", "ringing ears", "full head", "stuffy head", "grogginess" or "morning sickness type nausea". I'm really thinking a therapist or spiritual guide would offer more help!

when i said hot head they thought i had a tumour and i did a 24 hour urine test and had to wait 3 weeks for results.... they wonder why we are anxious pfffft, for me the hot head is when histamine is super high x

Susan,
You are so right, we cant worry about all of these random symptoms. I have rib pain also ans my dr said to do a stomach ultrasound but didnt really seem to confident in that idea as he said it. I had a full night of not being able to breath in recently also and scared me to death. Its comforting to hear that others have similar issues hope you're feeling better and thx for sharing. x

not a lot. I really wish this was an area that had more support. I was one of those carefree people that believed Peri and Menopause were just hot flashes and weight gain but until you experience the total horror of what it can be you have no idea. It is sad to say but if the Drs experienced even one week of what we go through every single day there would be research and help. Hugs to you.

they know absolutely nothing! its so much easier for them to tell you its anxiety or ibs! totally disgusting the lack of knowledge, my anxiety is caused by all the awful physical symptoms if someone could invent a test to say it was definately peri i for one would be less anxious, instead of giving myself some terminal illness every day x

i literally couldnt of said it better, my thoughts exactly, we know our own bodies and know this isnt right, docs spent a year telling me it was anxiety x
