ive had enough, just had the most frustrating phone call with doctor, i literally cant walk anymore, im in chronic pain, my eyelid swelled up today, i have stabbing pains in my arms, sore varicose veins in my legs, allergic to every food i put in my mouth (im 5.6 and 46kgs) right sided chest pain, nausea, gerd, migraines i could go on....... just over a year ago i was super fit and never stopped moving, doctors answer MAYBE ITS ANXIETY!!! maybe the only way they will take notice is if something kills me and they do an autopsy, sorry just needed to rant x

toria i feel exactly the same as you about talking to the doctor, iv been struggling with many of the 66 symptoms for 8 years now. i saw several doctors at the start who had no clue what to do with me but sent me for several test. Fast forward to 2019 id come out of working feeling i would faint, shaky and just not well so rang the doctors to see if i could see someone and when the doctor who available was a women in her 50's i was so pleased as thought she would have some understanding of what im going through. i wrote a list of symptoms.

she looked at my list with a smirk and said you've been in with this list before and its not done you any harm, i dont know what it is so you just need to get on with it. She as as cold as a WET FISH. i went from there and just cried in my car feeling that was it, no support nothing im alone in this.

GET ON WITH IT iv been feeling like ill for 8yrs since starting peri, its completely changed my life. iv been menopause since 2015.

for me my worse symptom is headaches, dizziness, being off balance, its turning me into a hermit. i do think doctors use anxiety for our problems and i myself thought i just suffered from anxiety but i dont believe its all that.

iv often felt exactly like you that only an autopsy will show them how it really was for me but unfortunately we won't know about it. i feel iv lost my whole 50's ( im 60 next year).

im so sorry your in pain that must be exhausting and never ending for you.

peri and meno is called the natural change in our life but its not for millions of us and doctors should b more understanding of this and help us, i think in years to come maybe things will of changed and this generation will get the help they need.

sending you a comforting hug, keep getting through the days one at a time

no iv not tried anti nausea for my dizziness, im fact iv spent so much money over the years on different vitamins and so called remedies that iv lost patience as nothing has worked BUT maybe as you have suggested these i may buy some. its just never ending is it. im so pleased my reply was comforting that make me so happy as i know how it feel to get a little support even if it doesn't change anything and you still have your pain.

I started feeling these awful peri symptoms when I turned 40. I'm 43 now but last year my symptoms got really bad. Went to the doctor told her my symptoms and she looked at me and said that's weird. Most likely anxiety and wanted to put me on anxiety meds. I refused because deep down I knew it was my hormones. Had blood test done on hormones which they didn't want to test but I fought them and of course came back saying I'm not peri. So upsetting not getting answers. She also told me to take Udos oil which is found at a natural foods store. She said I would start feeling better in 2 months taking it. That stuff is gross! So that's when I decided to find someone new to go to. Found an OB nurse practitioner. She told me blood tests are worthless and I should take a hormone saliva test. So I did and paid for it. That's where it was found my hormones were declining especially my progesterone. Basically she said hormonal imbalance. That's what she calls it instead of perimenopause. I changed my diet and its helped somewhat but I still get symptoms but I deal with it. Sometimes I think I'm going crazy but I come on to these forums to get reassurance that I'm not the only one going through this and it gives me comfort. Take Care!❤

Toria, I get it I feel like hoping there is something drastically wrong with me just so I can say to my Dr. "see I told you" I feel like I am fighting this battle alone, except I found you guys on this site. I feel so much better when I see that I am not alone in this and that it is a real "disease"
