What's Wrong With My Nails?

Posted , 2 users are following.

Every time my nails get to a certain length, they begin to peel, snap, bend and crack and I cant for the life of me, figure out what's going on or even fix them. I've tried nail hardeners, oils, biotin supplements, but nothing works. I've had this issue for as long as I can remember and I just don't know what to do anymore. Do I have a deficiency? All the things I've tried have been consecutive for months but nothing is working. Could someone please explain what is wrong with my nails?

I would also like to point out that in the pictures provided, I am wearing Sally Hansen miracle growth that has started to peel off. The issue is at the tips past where my finger ends (also, excuse the dirt, I have been gardening).

Thank you.

    this is what i found..

Onychoschizia or splitting of the fingernails is a common problem seen by dermatologists. The term onychoschizia includes splitting, brittle, soft or thin nails. it is more common in women. Only very rarely are internal disease or vitamin deficiencies the reason (iron deficiency is the most common).
