hi there, I have been suffering with this condition for 7 years and after several operation to remove lumps I have finally been diagnosed so just starting to learn the thing I need to do to help the condition of my skin. My doctor has told me to use antibacterial shower gel and not to use deoderant so I have been using anti bacterial wipes during the day to make me feel clean but I was struggling to find shower gel the chemist gave me dermol 200 but it does not lather up like normal shower gel but is says I can use this like a moisturiser after showering instead - just wondered if anyone has any suggestions on what I can use that is more like shower gel - also any hints n tips would be great. Thanks xx

hibiscrub is a surgical wash similar to shower gel but is a very effective and powerful antibacterial liquid. It is recommended for HS.

I agree Hibiscrub is brilliant, I'm 17 and it's the only thing that helps at all. I tend to use it also as bath bubbles as it does foam in hot water, because it is less irritant than usual bubbles. I was prescribed it on the NHS but it's still very cheap in pharmacies.
