Hi all,

Im 19 and have realised that I have a micro penis unfortunately. Its about 1 inch when soft and 3 inches when errect. Is there anything I can do about it or am I just stuck with this now since I'm already 19?

cheers

The penis can grow up until your early 20s and sometimes later but more than likely your stuck with what you got. I would go to your physician and talk to him about hormone therapy- some therapies could increase your length by 1 to 2 inches which is better but then again penile size doesn't always matter 😃

Thanks for the reply. Yeah I've heard about hormone therapy (i.e. testosterone replacement therapy). However from what I know, it is only really effective for infants and children and that it usually doesn't do anything when you're older, and I'm 19. Could you confirm?

      cheers

Jack, Tangki2 is a fully qualified Urologist, dealing with health issues related to the genitals is his profession. He would not make suggestions to you if he did not have the knowledge to back up what he was saying.

There are a few issues that are a factor with what you have: do you have any severe or ongoing health conditions? Are you overweight? Are you physically active on a regular basis, do sports, do other stuff such as ride a bike, running, anything like this 3 or 4 times a week? Your personal health and the regular physical activities you engage in are very important to health generally, and if these are not right, trying to achieve anything else, in positive terms are that more difficult.

There are internet forums for Men with the Micro Penis condition - you could look for some of these, look for contributions from individuals who have taken a long-term approach to their issue, rather than a quick fix.

Aside from my penis, I am both fit and healthy and yes I do play sport and exercise. I'm not over-weight, I'm actually skinnier than the average person of my age.

Thanks Jack, the 'natural' assumption would be to presume this phenomena occurs mainly in people who have been obese for the majority of their lives. So, here is another 'I am just wondering if' - is the sport and excercise you do is it predominantly outdoors and do you live in a cold climate such as the UK? Here is what I am getting at: if you go in a cold sea the natural reaction is for your penis and scrotum to shrink considerably ... probably on the complete wrong track, there. Maybe if your body has been predominantly cold when your are doing your sports / and / or excercise this may have an impact too - particularly if you have done this from a young age (believe me, I have done mountain biking for many years and if you spend several plus hours in the cold, damp UK climate, you sometimes get home and wonder where your penis and testicles have gone!).

I don't know if genes play a role in this as well - don't know whether you have other males in your broader family with the same issue, not that it is an easy topic to bring into a general conversation?

Anyways, hopefully back to ideas you may find helpful: after my initial response to you I wondered what I would do if I was facing this problem. Obviously, the internet is an incredible source of information on just about every topic or issue that is ever been thought of ...

So, I have just done this google search - safe exercises to do if you have a micro penis

The issue you have of wading through all the responses you get to this search is picking out the one's that have a good level of credibility about them. My tip would be to pick out the ones that are from organisations or formal bodies that deal with a broad range of human health issues, rather than ones from an individual on the likes of You Tube who claims to have achieved fantastical results.

The other thing I thought of what I would do for myself in practical terms, just to try and see what happened. So, can I check whether you are comfortable in the idea of exercising, or perhaps simply massaging your penis and using some very gentle stretch exercises? Is this something you have tried, or would be prepared to try?

      What do you think .......

I live in Australia and I play sports indoors and outdoors. Its hot here as well. In all honesty, I don't believe my micropenis is due to anything external (I'm skinny), I think its either genes or hormonal things. I was potentially interested in testosterone therapy and suggested somewhere here but I thought I would be too old as I'm finished with puberty.

Yes, I'd be willing to do exercises if there is a chance they may be effective.

Also, just another separate question. If I pull my foreskin back behind the head when errect, it always gets stuck behind the head and I have to try and pull it back up. It never automatically rolls back up. Is this a problem as well?

      thanks

In terms of the last issue you mention, you either have Phimosis or simply put, a tight foreskin - and although I have been talking about exercises (specifics on that below) it is fully recognised that simple stretch exercises can overcome the majority of tight or Phimosis condition foreskin problems. There is a good website that deals with this - I am unable to give an actual address as that is not permitted on here, so look for

      .... Wiki .... How .... 3 ways ... to do .... Phimosis ..... Stretching

...... believe me, I overcame Phimosis when I was 17 or 18 YOA and I know what stretches and methods work - all you need to ensure is that you do things gently, rather than force things within a few days or even weeks - this is something that needs to be worked at over an extended period of months. Doing the stretches during, or immediately after a warm or hot shower is the best time to do these.

A few things to check with you:

Have you ever seen a specialist for your micro penis issue - so the best would likely be a Urologist in your public health care system that specialises in the condition of micro penis? Private specialist do have the knowledge, but you have to be aware that they are basically looking for patients to pay for expensive surgical treatments, irrespective of whether what they suggest is the best approach to deal with the issue. Simply stated, this is how private health companies stay in business, they need fee-paying, or insurance funded people constantly through their doors, otherwise the highly paid specialist is doing themselves out of a richly rewarded job.

Have you tried any of the typically suggested methods of overcoming 'small' penis size, at all?

Obviously, if you go on the internet there are hundreds of sites about the issue - and having done a search on overcoming micro penis just now there are too many that are medically based, or are really for men who are 'normal' sized who feel they do not measure up.

From the medical perspective it seems the main options are surgical once you are outside of puberty. From the other perspective it is about men using penis developers, pumps, supplements - or alternatively men doing exercises do give 'natural' penis enhancement. Again, the safety element is the essential here for anyone trying any of this stuff AND not wanting to TRY to go from one extreme to another in a matter of a few days !!! I have personally tried most of these - more on this in a minute, and I can say unless several of these methods are used on a constant basis, there will be little notable difference gained for any man, irrespective of the 'natural' size they are.

As I mentioned in my last reply about exercises and massaging the penis I would first want to establish that all the things I would mention are things I have done myself previously, or I do on a regular basis. The reason for this is that at 55 YOA I was diagnosed with an incurable skin condition effecting the foreskin and head of my penis. I had been trying to deal with an ever-increasing worsening situation that meant I had to stop sexual activity and masturbation for around 6 to 8 months.

My penis shrank to the size it was when I was probably around 8 YOA - so if you look at your hand, if your hand is small or average my penis was no bigger (length and girth) that your fore / index finger, if you have a large hand, then your small finger. So, I can at least empathise with you in practical terms with how you most likely feel about this issue.

So, to get your exercises going in practical terms - I would start with dealing with the tight foreskin / Phimosis situation you have as the entire process may give valuable insight as to how you can do practical things with your penis that certainly do not include masturbation or create thoughts of a sexual nature. Simple exercises that do not create the possibility of damaging your penis, through simple movement and massage can, you will notice, increase the size and girth of your penis. Once you are comfortable doing these they would need to become part of your regular regime - but as the old adage states 'do nothing and stay the same' certainly applies.

You certainly would not get overnight success - and again, the adage that states 'anything worthwhile takes working at' would certainly apply to you ....

I can guide you throughout the process, as, as I say all of this stuff is going to take an extended period of months before you will even see that there is a possibility of achieving anything that will make ANY difference in the first place. You can also PM me if there is anything that you would not wish to discuss in a public forum - my preference is to keep everything in the Forum itself (your Forum Thread here) so that other readers can benefit from what we are both talking about .........

If you can masturbate with your whole hand on your penis, you dont have a micropenis.

if you masturbate with 2 to three fingers then you have a micropenis. Since you are 19, it may be too late to get the human growth hormone to increase the size of your penis. Testosterone may not help.

Maybe a doctor would be able to give you information. Hopefully, you have normal sized testicles. Have you checked if you have a hormone disorder or are you a DES son. DES men usually have 46 chromosomes or xy and their mother took the drug Diethylstilbestrol, to prevent a miscarriage, then a boy would have a micropenis at birth and they have other sexual problems.

If you have normal sperm you can try to preserve your sperm in order to have children in the future because you might be unable perform sexually, unless your partner is willing to help you in a sex act.

In vitro fertilization can produce children. Although most xxy males are sterile, one xxy has preserved some viable sperm for future children with his female partner. I hope this gives you some information. I am a xxy male. I dont have a micropenis, mine is 2 inches and grows to 4 inches and I cannot masturbate with my whole hand, but with 3 fingers. Good luck in you search for answers
