What to say when someone has gained weight from bulimia

My girl friend has told that she has put on weight because of her eating disorder. I'm my eyes she's perfect. How would I approach her when she says she put on weight and doesn't like her image.

Thank you

I will be going to a professional for advise on how to be more supportive for both physically and emotionally. Untill then i would like to know if I continue saying that she's not overweight and she's perfect. Would I be making her feel bad as she's know better about her self then I know her.

    Thanks

I have bulimia aswell and my weight fluctuates, the scales will tell her she has put weight on, the only thing you can do is reassure her how good she looks and do your best to boost her confidence, its really hard, is she getting any professional help such as counselling??

Continue to tell her she is perfect and that you love her body. The voices in her head are unkind to her and the scale is as well, so there is not need for more negativity. She will learn to cope with weight gain but mean while , all you need to do is be there for her. My boyfriend has always told me I was perfect even when the numbers on the scale were going up, and that really helped.
