What type of hysterectomy
Posted , 3 users are following.
i have several 3-4cm fibroids and a 3cm polyp and need a hysterectomy. i have a history of endometriosis and 2 caesarian sections. i also have 3 prolapsed vertebral discs and hip problems. i am concerned that a vaginal hysterectomy will put too much pressure on my back and hips with my legs in lithotomy position
i also have a blood clotting disorder and take anticoagulants
any advice would be greatly appreciated , thanks

Are they sure they are fibroids and not enodmetriomas? I had hemmoragic cysts monthly from my endo is why I asked and its hell. I would check with your dr on the clotting stuff. I have disc issues and severe hypermobility in my hips. I dont remember having anymore issues. You'll be tired after so you'll be resting alot. I wish I could help more but everyones different. I dont remember added back or hip pain but I'm sure you want notice because you'll be a bit sore from the other.as long as you do what they suggest it's up to you. Always a personal choice. Hopefully someone helps and gives better advice than me. Just speaking from my experience my back and hips were not worse for sure because of it. Best of luck.❤
