Had only one session with my doctor on anxiety I was facing due to OCD of needles. It developed by googling the symptoms and then thinking on it. Then I would Google again and think more. I was stuck in a circle. I didn't realise until my doctor pointed out. She said stop feeding the brain with what it wants ,just break the circle.it really helped somehow.

But I now am again trapped in it. Have to book an appointment.

Hi there - mine is "You are boring me - I will judge how I feel" - do not mean you personally lol  -  - I also read somehere "I am the judge and jury and I will rule my brain"

You can surprise yourself if you get tough - and say it over and over - your brain will give in - an affirmaton really that you say what goes.

    "This too shall pass..."

This one helps me a lot. Not only with anxiety but ANYTHING when i feel trapped or like something is never going to end. Even when i have a very long day of work ahead of me. Im going to get it tattooed on me to always remind myself that this WILL pass and in the end i will be okay - and if im not okay then its not the end wink we WILL get through this TOGETHER!! much love to you all <3

    Stella,

Depending on ones personal circumstances and understanding the roots of the trigger points...what helped me most was"CHANGE YOUR LIFESTYLE,".....

Means one has to sacrifice something in order to replace with peace and harmony. My case leaving career, relationship, changing countries.. heartbreaking to read what I read now

What helped me with my anxiety/OCD was realising that I am NOT the one in control for my thoughts. You shouldn't force yourself to not think about something, because it won't work and you'll just think about it more. You shouldn't feel bad about an unpleasent thought that popped up, because it's just a thought and doesn't mean anything. In fact, the fact that you are anxious about it/worrying about it shows that you dislike that thought.

    Hello,

What has got me through it, was something my husband said... SO simple

He said ... Ok so you get an anxiety attack, and then what? You know whats happening why be afraid? It will be over...

I am starting to read the bible alot as well. It does comfort me , It has worked for me.

4 Even though I walk through the darkest valley,I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

We travelled to some very strange places in our youth

We learned life was cheap and we have no way of understanding our final days.So why worry ?. I suffered meningitis in North Africa and was lucky to get back to the UK.

The pain was so severe I considered my own mortality, when better I began to understand when better I had understood how unwell I had been and many conditions after that were a walk in the park. Since then I have been a patient in a pain clinic and I now now wha level 9 pain is, Level 10 I will just dig a hole

    - Exercise, yoga

    - Vitamin D and B12 (only if you're deficient)

totally agree with this missVr vitaminD and B12 make a huge different and i have also tried flower and bach remedies along with essential oils and being present which is what the power of now really helped me. This quote really resonated with me "depression is living in the past and anxiety is living in the future"

"Answer the question that plagues you...WHAT IF??? Answer it! If ______, then _____."

I have walked that out so many times and find that the what if question is worse if left unanswered.

Also, magnesium threonate for anxiety. Sleep like a baby and think clearly now without meds! It was a game changer for me

"No amount of regret can change the past and no amount of anxiety can change the future."

I also find it helps accepting that my worst fears could in fact come true and knowing that I can survive them if they do.
