HI Stella for me it was a number of things mainly meditation, diet when i started studying health coaching I learnt about a lot of foods that contributed to anxiety including dairy, too much gluten and sugar and I had to cut out on coffee as this was a massive trigger, daily gratitude, exercise, supplements vitamin D, B, fish oil, moringa, EFT (tapping solution my psychologist used). breathwork, yoga, daily journel (big one that helped) and essential oils. I have written an ebook on the benefits of essential oils on anxiety. If anyone is interested in reading ill send over. I also send out newsletters with tips for combating anxiety and depression so if you would like to be added to my mailing list let me know
Happy to help others and pass on the information I learnt

Hi guys,
I have the habit of writing a daily diary on what my thoughts say. It catalogues my daily thought processes and things that I say to myself in order for me to manage my anxiety well.
I use few quotes that help me deal with anxiety. I think I learnt this from a metta-meditation book (self-compassion/loving-kindness). I tend to remind to be kind to myself by telling myself the following things. I am an agnostic, but I am a firm believer of Eastern spiritual philosophy. So I tend to say this to myself when I am anxious
'I surrender to the God that resides within me'
This statement corresponds to the Hindu-Buddhist philosophy stating that we see our true self in ourselves and all other being in the world. It helps me calm down and rest my mind.
Hope this helps.

"I won't die my mind is playing tricks on me." Not only my mind but my body. It's a metaphor. Our mind tricks us to fear and Avoid something. It's not true we shouldn't avoid it we should confront it. Nothing bad will happen. What will happen is we will become stronger and invincible.👍Life begins when we take that step to get better.

If you feel everything is unreal it could be derealization. I have that too I still haven't been diagnosed though. But the symptoms are similar to what I feel. Alot of these things are quite similar. Like brain fog and derealization. Its very confusing. Anxiety and depression have common symptoms too. I've heard of mindfulness..

Go through this stella2 its my personal story.i as a person was always enthusiastic, quiet energetic, always used to wonder of doing something great with my life. Always tried to prove myself better than others. Was full of greed, lust, anger and always used to feel proud about myself.right now iv completed 25yrs of my age. In 2016 i completed my bachelors. Was a bright student than. Sometimes used to feel low when was affected by the things or peoples around me. Used to have cravings, even if i had everything that i need but still always cravings was there, like something is missing i want more never satisfied. And after passing out of my bachelors school, i decided to take a break as i wanted to relax for some time. This was in the month of may. I used to do some small activities than but was at home for most part of the day.
Then some where in december when i was leading an almost normal life, then one day suddenly as i was travelling i felt some difference within myself, a gut feeling was there that something is not right with me, and the very next movement i suddenly felt palpitations, shortness of breath, feeling like i would pass out and die here, but still i somehow tried to keep my self calm. There was a feeling what others will think about me. But after some time i felt completely fine, say around five minutes of my first attack i again had this attack, again the same feeling this time i was even more worried. This happened to me my entire way. Somehow i reached home, went to doc, got myself tested, little bit spike in my bp was about 150/100. But the wories disnt stoped i didnt slept for that whole night. Next day i woke up i thought that it will go 5n and it was till the evening where again i was thrushed by those same symptoms, and day by day it kept happening and the number of symptoms kept on increasing.what you name it headpressure, lightheadedness, palpitations, chest pains, bodypains, intense weakness, derealization, depersonalization, insomnia, a feeling that i was into myself, trying to connect to the world but was not able to do so,intense fears. Somehow if i used to sleep, i used to wake up in the middle and was sweating and palpitating with fears there. This sumptoms used to be there 24/7.
Then i started going through the net to find out whats wrong with me there was this guilt feeling and aslo some stomach issues along with fear of going crazy, after a good amount of research i come to the conclusion that this is just the anxiety and depression thing with me, learned some tips to cope up with it, just felt relief for say sometime. Again the fear im depressed what if i commited suicide. What if i die. Feeling that nothing can help me out. Im the worst case. Again used to read some more good posts on anxiety and depression and again used to feel better for some time and back to that area. By now even if there was small stress i used to panic a lot. There was no emotional control. Even no physical control. This was december and it went on for around next 3 months. Then i came across some mystics speech on youtube listening to them was a huge calm i used to feel quiet better. Then i started with yoga and meditation initially i didnt feel any relief .
Then i thought of going to my gp and not psychiatrist or psychologist. Then he did some blood test came normal. After some days did another tests lke vit d which was low as 8ng/ml and thought this is the end of my suffering took the same along with vit b complex and magnesium for around 3 months was better than before but not cured. But still a little bit stress used to drag me back there.
Remembered i told you of yoga and medition it had some impact on me though so i thought of going even more deeper into that, i started reading buddhism, and following other mystics. Thought im not regular to my meditation. But after reading all this i came to a conclusion recently as just from last few days im feeling like im disconnecting from myself and as i started to leave in the present moment im quiet stabel though the anxiety is there though the depression is there but if im not there so it doesnt matter to me. May be it sounds little wierd to you guys but trust me as im going deeper into selfrealization now i can watch myself from a certain distance. Just imagine these are old teachings say 400yrs old. Andidepressants had just arrived before while.medical had advanced But still the no of people getting depressed is arising daily. And the people then were more intelligent and more dedicated then. And depression itself is something which is taking you to the path of spiritual enlightenmnent, let me make the meaning of the word very clear to you, it means living in the present and at this moment and trust me it requires a lot of practice but you will definately reach there even i used to think the way no but it will wnt work for me but it did. And you will be raised above all. See only if you guys are interesred so please let me know im ready to help each one of you further. If i get replies from you il start uploading my youtube videos and you can just see what i all i have done to reach here as i have watched a lot of videos of mystics i can make it simple for you. Even i used to dont trust this but trust me it definately helps overtime and trust and belief is all we need. Il do it for free i knw how dificult is to leave with anxiety and depression. I dont want anybody to suffer so i your replies guys.and dont ask me about medications please as i have not taken that route so im the least educated person on that.
But yeah the teachings of buddha was true and it helps. Just describing it in a single sentence " sometimes the person who losses everything wins." It happens .

Very true - it works. I went on a fear of flying day and was terrified, started having a panic attack and stood up from my seat to get off the plane, then I saw a lady sat alone opposite me. Her legs were shaking so much I just had to leave my hubs (who was enjoying the experience) and go to her. We chatted, she stopped shaking, my panic disappeared and she said to me "is it your husband who is scared of flying " - I said no it is me!!!!!!!!!!
I then enjoyed the rest of the flight and so did she.
It is all about distraction.
