Hi, Everybody
And I'm here in this forum having overcome or gone through severe anxiety/depression many years ago
I am here purely to share my experience in the hope that what i have to say may provide comfort and relief from suffering. For me it was a crucial part of my journey to read how others had gone 'through' their anxiety and starting to live a life free of unnecessary anxiety.
So, to answer the question: The concept of the 'pain body' resonated with me deeply many years ago when I woke up with depression and anxiety that stayed with me for years. It wasn't until I started to ALLOW my anxiety/depressive energy that it started to lift and I come into balance! (this takes time because we aren't accustomed to allowing unknown feelings in the body
Anxiety is not the boogy-man nor is it an accident, it is an invitation to look at unmet feelings in the body and beliefs in the mind and to come to more balance through the art of acceptance.
Much love

2 big quotes/realizations that helped me a lot in the last 8 years of anxiety struggles:
"You're not alone" - Short and sweet and so so true. It's amazing how many people suffer from the exact same anxiety issues you do, most just don't talk about it bc of the stigma.
"No matter how much you may be worrying and thinking you're dying, you cannot think yourself into death". - My therapist told me this about panic attacks.

My counciler used to say to me when i would worry, get anxious and always think about the worst case senario... "is it what you know? or is what you think?" so know when I start to worry about something even if it's something really small and insignificant I ask myself that question xx

I had severe hypochondria, anxiety, depression, mood disorders... All were based on fear of dying... I accepted death as a natural process of life... I accepted that it might happen when I am 90 or tomorrow. I won't live in fear. Depression is worrying about yesterday and I can't change yesterday. Anxiety is worrying about the future and the future hasn't happened to me yet. Hypochondria is worrying about a serious illness. I said that I would rather die than live in this fear. It's not for everyone, but it worked for me

Hello Stella2,
I have had anxiety and panic disorder for as long as I can remember. I still remember the day I have my first panic attack. Due to the anxiety I developed agoraphobia and depersonalization. One day I got sick and tired of being cooped up in the house and decided that I would go for a short walk no matter how fearful I was. Every day I walked further and further until the agoraphobia just left.
I became obsessed with anxiety and panic disorder and decided that I would take a 2 year program for Social Service Worker. I took extra classes on the side in Psychology and Human Development. During this time I learned about Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). THIS is what changed my life forever! The good thing about CBT is that you can learn it off the internet. "CHANGING THE WAY YOU FEEL BY CHANGING THE WAY YOU THINK" It was the most life changing and beneficial method on recovering from my anxiety.
