What was your timeline after your first herpes exposure?

I had unprotected sex with someone on Saturday night and Sunday morning and I am unsure about their status.

Sunday Morning - Day 0: Unprotected sex

Sunday Night - Day 0: feeling sore in my inner thighs, mostly my left one like I pulled a muscle. Around 8 pm, I felt like a UTI was coming. Bladder felt full and not much pee came out.

Monday Morning - Day 1: Went to a doc in the box for my UTI and they concluded I had one based on my urine test. Was given Macrobid for 7 days

Monday Night - Day 1: my lower back began to ache and I noticed I had a sore throat

Tuesday - Day 2 & Wednesday Morning - Day 3: I’ve been drinking a ton of fluids and have been peeing a lot and there isn’t any pain. Still a little pain in my back. Sore throat is still there. No signs of lesions and no itching but I am constantly aware of any tingling down there but I’m not sure if that’s just my mind playing tricks on me.

I know the normal incubation period is anywhere between 2 and 20 days but would love to hear stories of people’s first outbreaks.

I'm in my first breakout now down under and have sores and a swollen lymph node in my groin. I have no flu symptoms or anything like that. It's almost been 2 weeks, sores are there. Been taking medication for 2 days, they are starting to heal. Pretty miserable emotion wise!

I noticed 3 days after sleeping with a new partner. She now also is having an initial outbreak which is very confusing for us both.

Have you tested to see if u have herpes or you’re assuming it’s herpes?

I haven't been tested for anything since it was so soon and I'm not showing any sores/blisters so I thought it would be a waste.

Why you are so oriented about herpes??

    Nothing tells you have it.

Yes I don't know why I am so fixated on it. Haven't been tested for anything since I haven't had any clear symptoms so I thought that would be a waste of time.

Yeah your fine if you later on have an outbreak of sores that hurt then get tested but for now live your life
