Whats going on

Hey guys I was diagnosed with type 1 herpes over two months ago (Its been almost three months since I had sex with the person I feel gave it to me. It was through an IgG test and my "score" was 1.38. I have yet to have an outbreak (I think, nothing that has seemed out of the ordinary) So no swab test or anything like that. Don't mean to sound like I am complaining since many others have it far worse. But why have I not had an outbreak yet though? Any help and advice is much appreciated. Just a normal guy trying to watch out for others around me.

people can go years without knowing they have it as they have no symptoms

I think usually have a outbreak if stressed and ill, you can look on the internet and will give you lot of answers

    I wouldn't be complaining lol

I currently can't get to sleep as in so much pain 😫

So you were just blood tested i assume? If you haven't had an outbreak, it's probably something you've had for a long time and don't have outbreaks. Hsv 1 is a very common disease to have.

Yes I was blood tested with an IgG test and my score was 1.38. I have yet to go back to get tested again because money is really tight and I don't have insurance. Interesting, if that is the case then idk if I should be happy or not to be honest.

Yeah, you being diagnosed hsv1 means you have a virus that most people would test positive for. Without an outbreak, you can't really tell if you have it near your head or near your genitals. I wouldn't sweat it at all. You've probably had it for a long time and didn't even know it.

Damn that makes me want to backtrack my whole entire life and figure out who gave it to me then. Thats pretty much impossible though. If I have had it for a long time I still need to take medication for it to reduce the sexual transmission right?
