Just had flare up and recurring abcess which fortunately was caught early and I did not need to go into hospital to have it drained. For few weeks now I have felt really crap 1st thing in the morning for at least 2 hours when I get up feel sick and my stomach is churning not sure if its due to anxiety as I have my disabled husband to care for and we have had lot of appointments just lately we moved back into town 6 months ago and I also help out a little looking after my mother-in-law who is not well at all she was in hospital for 5 weeks and we nearly lost her. My daughter who is mums main carer thinks it maybe anxiety and stress which is not good for the crohns, does anyone else suffer this and how do you cope I am on Infliximab infusion every 8 weeks and mercaptopurine 50mg daily . Thanks

Hi karen, im sorry youre having such a tough time at the moment.

I def get a churn with my anxiety, and i seem to 'wait' for it to kick in.

May be worth checking with nurse that its not the meds.

    Hope you feel better soon.

    Xx

You need to put yourself a bit higher up the list of people needing help.  Anxiety makes Crohns worse.  Try and put an hour a day aside to do just what you need.

    take care
