I'm confused what was the pamphlet about? You should go see your doctor just so you can get on antivirals to reduce how long your outbreaks are.

    My doc was terrible

The assistant told me over the phone that i had hsv2 and said she would send me a pamphlet.

    No education, no empathy

The phamplet was just a fact sheet, but mentioned some people go inpatient.

What i meant to say in the above post was that i was in the throughs of my first outbreak. I am a terrible phone typer.

I have connected with my other doc and she has been more helpful

Im sorry to hear that. I'm glad you found a new doc. Hopefully she gets you informed and on proper treatment. inpatient just means someone who stays in the hospital during there treatment. I havent heard of someone doing this due to herpes but I might be wrong.

    Yea

    It seemed a little extreme

It said that in some cases people have to be treated in a hospital

    How awful

    Hope thats not us

I have read some stories on here where people had to go to hospital. Usually only for the initial outbreak, which can hit some women extremely bad, as in unbearable pain, unable to walk, need a catheter to urinate, etc.

Another thing you need to keep in mind is that to doctors usually herpes isn't a big deal due to the fact it doesnt cause any other health issues. Of couse you deserve the curtesy of talking to your doc about it but besides anti virals and finding out you have it there isn't a lot for them to do.

Doctors need to treat the whole person. Body and Mind.   Its a BFD !!!

    ARGH !!

The biggest problem I've observed so far, based on some of the comments here, is that many doctors simply aren't knowledgeable about GH. Some are even giving out false or outdated information and recommending worthless tests (namely IgM). That is truly shocking, imo!

Its pretty outrageous how ill informed they are.
