I like so much music it's a difficult one to choose so off the top of my head if I was going to listen to music now, not in any particular order:

    1. Dragula - Rob Zombie

    2. Kashmir - Led Zeppelin

    3  Low Rider - War

    4  Freebird - Lynard Skynard

5  Mama Reux - Dr John

6  Something for the Weekend - Divine Comedy

7  Spirit in the Sky - Dr and the Medics

    8  Silver Machine - Hawkwind

9  Never Forget - Judas Priest

10 Ain't no Rest for the Wicked - Cage the Elephant

Lol No most of them are a lot later than the sixties. Cage the Elephant are a current band, love that song, has great slide guitar in it. I love guitar and play it, electric, accoustic and semi-accoustic. Well not so much these days!

talented as well we all like music that speaks to us for what ever reason .you can see i am really out of touch  ,with todays stuff . i think except for the odd record i stopped listening to new music in about 1984 not a cool dudecool

just a romamtic love a melody and a beat  i love blues, and soul and motown ,northen soul ,some types of jazz swing war time , music hall , just loads  of stuff before 1984 biggrin

I love Blues, Muddy Waters, Eric Clapton etc, not so much soul or jazz, but motown's good. Diana Ross and the Supremes, the Three Degrees Love 'When Will I See You Again'.

I like some melodic and death metal but I'm very choosy about which metal I listen to. It's a good talking bond with my son because he likes metal and we listen to some of the same bands.

Mainly I enjoy energetic music that gives me a bit of a rush with a drink of white wine now and then! Yes I know but I can't be good all the time. lol

I don't like most of today's stuff but there are some great new musicians out there, it's just finding them! eek

Ah! in those days there was romance. Romance born of almost everyone being celebate until married (male-female only). Hidden behind the lyrics the longed for mysteries of sex. No sex education then.

There's romance today George! As long as humans are on the planet I believe it will be here.

your knight in shining armour will ride up, lift you up, place you on the saddle before him and ride of to the land where there are no troubles. It is a lovely dream. We need lovely dreams as dark clouds gather around us as ailing economies creak and groan. Songs can take us to the land of no troubles too.
