had a sleeve gastrectomy about two years ago and it cut my food intake down drastically but i found i could still have a drink,so seven tins of 9% lager a night 7 nights a week and it wasn,t long before i couldn,t hide it from work hands shaking etc.

so i went off sick with stress  and i had my first in house detox which didnt work as i had my son living at home with me(autism).

i was put on acamprasate which was fine but after a while i started to panic at the thought that i could never have a drink again so i went back to my doctor and started again.ive had three detoxes at home none of which worked been on naltrexone,antabuse and acamprasate.

now ive started nalfamene so here goes

    Godd Luck to you keep us informed as to how it goes. I've had one home detox which didn't work and also been on Campral again worked for a while like yourself but soon back to old ways.

    Will keep fingers and toes crossed for you.

      I don't think home detox works for everybody too many outside influences

      tried to get a in house detox but was told I wouldn't stand it due to the other addicts in there
