When do you usually have your first herpes outbreak?

Hi everyone,

I've recently been feeling burning pain after having sex with a new partner, as well as redness and small bumps. I'm absolutely terrified it is early-stage HSV 2 but I couldn't figure out how to post a photo. My question is, is it possible that I could have previously contracted HSV2 and the friction from sex triggered an outbreak? I've read that sometimes people can be asymptomatic when they first contract herpes. I don't want to accuse my new partner in case it's possible I was already carrying it. Or is it more likely that if this is my first outbreak, I contracted it from him?

You can use PC to post a pic.

You will never be sure 100% unless your partners do blood test.

You will keep thinking about who of who did it to you but in vain.

Just take care of yourself now

Yes it’s possible you could have recently gotten it.. or you could have gotten it years ago and your immune system/friction started a flare up. My bf has the classic outbreaks, the itching and sores. I don’t have any of it. Only some itching and that’s all. But I have had the burning pain with sex before, but it also could have been  uti because I get those a lot too. Only way to know if it’s herpes  is go get a blood test and then go from there.

Thank you so much everyone. I'm just so sick at heart if I had this and accidentally gave it to a new partner. I'm going to the doctor today but I'm currently traveling so I don't know what will be available to me beyond a visual confirmation, ie a blood test to see if it's a new infection or I already had it.
