When I close one eye an odd shape appears, what could it be?

So when I close one eye an odd roundish, black shape slowly appears, when I concentrate it disappears what could it be?

    Do you mean you can see it with the eye that is open or the eye that is closed?

      Sorry for being unspecific, the eye that is open, its really hard to explain, just a really weird shape appears and when I blink or focus with my eye it goes away.

      This is one of those strange illusions that sometimes people suddenly see. Its  the darkness that your closed eye is observing merging with the open sight of the other eye.     Your brain is trying to make normal binocular vision.

      Oh, okay cool, It doesn't hinder my vision, I just happened to notice it and wonder what it was. Thank you.
