When one door closes, another one opens

If you've experienced this, would you share what transpired in your life to have one close and one open.

For me, I ended a "work" relationship with someone that I thought was going to lead to something great.  She was stealing and accusing me of things and I had enough and just left.  Yes, left.  I left my portion of money I had put into this business and all the merchandise I had put into the business.  I was afraid of not having any work.  However, when I was driving home, I had a phone call telling me of a position in a school system that would be perfect for  me.  The very next day I had an interview and was hired!  I worked for that system for well over 15 yrs until I was "deemed" disabled from an auto accident.

This is one example of my door closing and another one opening.

How about yourself?

That is good that when one door closes another opens. Sometimes it takes you to have the courage to get up and leave, then it makes one stronger. Sorry to hear about your accident.

Had one job I was in that was due to finish, and was fortunate enough to be in a position to start another one on the Monday. God opens many doors, that sometimes seem to be shut.

      HI Peter ~

I think the key to allowing another door to open is "Faith and Trust".  I  know what you mean about God opens many door that seem to be shut.  I guess that one can find out by just asking for the Lord to take this burden off my shoulders and take  it from me.  When I've done that, my vision seems clearer.

I  love the saying "what  doesn't kill you makes you stronger" and because of the accident, I seem to say that at least once a day.  Lol

I have to say that there is a reason for me to be here, I  had a double pulmonary embolism, in each lung.  The doctor I was sent to after I had surgery to put in a greenfield filter and settled down in the hospital.  Well I had asked this doctor what he's done with other paitents with the same problem, he clearly said he's not ever dealt with anyone who's had a bi-lateral pulmonary embolism and lived through it, especially when one has this at home.  I felt it happen to me the night before but I thought it was pelvic pain where they  took the bone from to fuse my back.  Anyway, I've had several things that many  pass away from but I lived.  This tells me that the Lord has something in mind for me but I can't seem to figure it out, even if I

      asked for help and guidence.

Anyway, has anything like this or something similar happened to you?

      Thanks for writing back,

The strange thing is I had a suspect PE 9 years ago, when I was in work. I have two steel rods in my spine and it is fused, I was born with many medical complications that the night I was born, the Surgeon thought I may never see the morning.

My lung collasped, and I needed emergency surgery. I have had heart surgery, was born without a gullet and have Asthma, Brocheictisis. Also I have Ceoliac Disease, eczema and retain Carbon Dioxide, and have to use a ventilator at night.

The Lord has always been my guide and give me a loving family, and some great friends.

      Hi Peter ~

Thank you for your response.  I'm sorry you have had to deal with so  much in terms of illness.  You definitely have had your share.  I've never hear of anyone retaining Carbon Dioxide in their system before, that has to be a little or a lot! scary.

Being born w/o  a gullet seems to be extremely painful.  How do you pass food to your stomach?  i hope you don't mind me asking.  If so, I apologize in advance and your can ignore that question.

I also have had the Lord as my guide and was also given a loving, healthy family. I also have great friends that I've known for years.  We are lucky, aren't we?

Well, my eyes are burning and blurring up so I need to get off the computer.  Hope to hear from you again.  If you want to answer me but want to keep  it private, please feel free to send it through my Private Messaging.

      Bless you

      Hi Peter ~

How have you been feeling?  I've not been online for about a week.  Long story.  But, the good thing is, most all is okay now.

When someone writes and response, I always get a sad feeling when the writing stops.  And, the reason for that is, I always hope it isn't because of illness or something dreadful.

      Best wishes
