When to see the surgeon about a developing bunion

Posted , 2 users are following.

I've had 2 ankle surgeries in the last year, spent a total of 12 weeks in a cast.

I recently started to develop pain in the big toe of that foot, always on shoes.

Only last week did I notice that my big toe has bent in toward my other toes. It is frequently painful.

When is the right time to see the surgeon about this?

    Hi Kristina,

I wouldn´t start seeing a surgeon, but a 'foot specialist', there are so much to try first before surgery, I think :-)

I guess I could bring it up to my dr so I can get a referral to someone. But it has to wait a while.
