When will I be able to run again?

I've been in a cast since February 5th, so nearly 2 months now. I'm going in for an appointment in 2 weeks so hopefully I will be put in a walking boot. I was just wondering, how long does it take to start running again? I don't want to be out all f*cking summer....

I'm male 15, btw, if that makes a difference in how I heal

(idk how to contact the doctor either)

Although everyone heals at different rates my Orthopedist said that a 20 year old would heal quicker that I would.  I was in a NWB cast for 4 weeks and a high boot after that.  My break was a little bone in my foot.  You, however, broke both of the long bones in your lower leg.  Those bones carry all of your weight.  You will heal and be able to run again but you have to have patience.  My son recently broke his fibula, the smaller weight bearing long bone, and was also in a NWB cast for 4 weeks and high boot for 4 more.  He was released to return to work with limitations this week.  No more than a 6 hour work day and lifting no more than 20 lbs.  I don't know anyone that was happy with the amount of time that it took to recover but it happens.  Now 2 years from my injury and it's hard to remember how unhappy I was and anxious to just be able to get out of the house and drive again.  Time and friends help.  Have your friends over for video games and win.

No one can say what your future will but I broke the same as a kid. My leg was weak, but the more you walk on it the faster the muscles catch. STAY away from soda and drink milk. My son broke his leg- no soda and milk 5xs a day and he was fine.
