When will this get better 😥

I'm coming up to 6 weeks now on 40mg citalopram and the past few days have been really difficult again!
morning anxiety is so hard to deal with
My mood is really low
I was finding evenings a little easier but that doesn't seem to be happening anymore.
My anxiety is still bad
I just feel like giving up atm and that these tablets aren't gonna work for me anymore. It's so hard not to go to the doctors to switch to something else. How much longer do I have to keep going for? Surely I would have seen some improvement by now.

hey everybody sorry it's been a while moved house and had no internet for a week. back online now x
how is everyone doing? good I hope.
so I've decided to stay with the 20mg of citalopram and see how I get on from here. it's been about 2 weeks I think. I'm definitely not as good as I was when I was originally on them but I'm definitely a lot better than a few months ago.
my anxiety is still pretty high but my mood for the most part is a lot better. I dont feel as depressed
strange how back on my original dose and dont feel as bad as I did when I changed. I feel like I need to improve more but will wait and see what happens x
hope you are all doing ok x

the fact you are having good days is a good sign. x eventually the bad days will get less and less and then eventually disappear and you'll feel back to normal. you will have ups and downs like everybody else but this is normal x it does take time though x 3 weeks is really early days x keep taking them and you will start to feel better x it's hard to see when you feel poo but more time will go by when you haven't thought about it x

I'm torn whether its sciatica or the citalopram for you x it is hard to tell x if you have faith and have trust in your doc then I would say listen to the doc......for now because it could well be.
sciatica is hard work but with the right info on what to expect you will be alright toria x
what does your gut tell you? x

you know long term use of the ziplocon combine with celexa causes pain in the joints /muscles n perhaps bones.

did it take you a while to feel better
toria_07298 lois95799

yes maybe but that would be body pain which i have anyway but this is different plus even with zopiclone i hardly sleep so without it would be dire x

if i where you with your fibro and your meds dont settle on siatica just yet.x

i took ziplicone for one whole year with no problem after that year i started having severe joint pain in my hands and ankles .and that pain was way different than the celexa pain.and immediately doctors where saying it was Rheumatoid arthritis.and i almost fell for the expensive meds they wanted me to take.well you know the rest.just be aware of misdiagnosed .i know you been there

the first time round took about 6weeks for me to start to feel better when I got the right dose. this time round a hella lot longer because I cant seem to find the right dose for me after 20mg stopped working. I'm better than I was but far from back to normal x itll be fine, honest, it just takes patience and time and a lot more time and patience lol u will get better x

3 weeks really isn't very long at all. some people are lucky and get better in a matter of weeks and some people it takes months x just be kind to yourself and dont worry about anyone else. do what you need to do to recover. recovery comes in waves so if you feel poo again for a few days dont panick x keep trooping on. dont change dose too quickly give it time to work lovely x

had a better day yesterday little break from the racing thoughts which was nice, how you doing? x

that's good that you had a little break x anything take your mind off it? or was it just one of them things where you didnt realise you hadn't thought about stuff until you, did? if that makes sense lol
you have a lot going on by the sounds of it with the updose and the sciatica stress so hopefully it will settle down for you again soon x
I'm not too bad thanks, today has been a bit tough, had that horrible sicky nervous feeling in my chest all day but had calmer moments. see what tomorrow brings eh? x
