Hi tasha, As I was always asking myself why is it worse at night? I can sympathise. Try deep breathing and a warm drink, I don't like milk much but sometimes warm ribena or fruit tea.

    Hi tasha33355

anxiety is a strange thing it can make everything feel so much worse than it actually is

first off have you been to see you gp just to check out why you get the fluttering

do you drink a lot of caffine drinks r eat a lot of chocolate?

i suffer with anxiety & it does make you feel strange but its not life thretening but like with any new symptom it wont hurt to check with your gp ... just to put your mind at rest

    i wish you well

    Dawn x

I have had heart palpitations for years and take medication for it. I notice it a lot when I first lie down at night. Lieing down flat makes it flutter. So I start out on two pillows until it calms down. Been doing that for years.

Hi Tasha yes this happens at night me my brain seems to race just when I lay down thinking I'm ready for bed my heart starts racing then my brain doesn't want to calm down

yes, they are part of the same package of symptoms - heart/stomach flutter, anxiety/ panic attacks, palpitations

we notice them more when we are laying down and are quiet internally

i notice them while im sitting at my pc too

make sure you have eaten - that your stomach isnt empty

i like the suggestion to start off on two pillows and also keeping a drink nearby

try a fake cough from time to time - it resets your heart pattern
