Where has the time gone ?

Hi everyone

I have just realised today is 4 months since my left hip was done.

That seems to have gone really quickly..

I saw the physio for the first time yesterday. She has refered me for hydro therapy. But I doubt I will get any lessons. Byt the time the referal goes through and with a four week waiting list. I will be back in hospital having the right hip done. So looks like no physio for me till the right hip is done and I get clearance at the 6 week mark again if I don't have all the issues I had this time.. At least mnow I am almost totally pain free with the collapsed hip so I am able to go out when it isn't raining which seems to be very common this summer.even for south Wales..

Just a few photos to share.

Good luck with hydrotherapy Hailea, I have been waiting 4 months!

Love the pet pictures, I have done volunteering with wildlife rescue in far flung places and had to care for an 18ft reticulated python ;-) she was not easy. Big hugs xx

      Hi Dot

Than you. But I doubt I will be in the pool before my next op.

You have been waiting 4 months for hydrotherapy ?

I would phone them up and see if they haven't forgotten about you.eek

      Hugs to you too. x

Evidently they are "waiting", for a part! after asking a few questions, they have been waiting for more than a year so I won't hold my breath ;-) xx

eek In that case I would phone them up and ask if you can go to a pool at another hospital. You can't wait. I am stiff in my left hip because of not being able to mobalise when I should have been. So I am going to feel it when I do get to do some physio even if it is after the right hip is done. Infact I think I will be better off in the gym after I have had the second one done. I won't have to wait for that they will get me straight in once my surgeon has cleared me for it.It won't do you any good just waiting.

Hi Hailea I have just had my second one, and a friend of min in NZ has been waiting 18 months for his fiorst and is in excrutiating pain, time goes fast and we do spent a lot of it sleeping and healing every day is like a short day because of the afternoon nap and the late rise, 11am for me kip at about 1.30, up at 5ish back to sleep again around 2or3am, theres your answer, I am off crutches now on day 5 of second operation walking very upright and getting around fine, sitting down slowely is still painful, but will ease by the end of the week I am sure, an few shots from me I have already posted if you missed them love that snake shot and the small lizards, well shot.

      Hi Ian

Glad you are all dane and everything went well for you. Wow no crutches already ? You must be so happy to be out of arthritic pain now. I am sure you will take it easy and make sure you don't over do it. The new pain won't be there for ever,.

I can't beleve your friend is in so much pain and they are making him wait so long if anyone did that to an animal they would be in trouble.

WoW great shots Ian. I like all of them & thank you for liking mine too. x

The ROH BirminghamNHS  physio dept rents its pool out for private hydro - so its worth hunting around to see if you could get a few sessions privately. I found hydro really useful...dont give up...Chris smile

gorgeous pictures ... look at the colors and everything ... we humans can learn so much from these creatures - they are just present in their beingness ...

how disappointing hailea - why does it have to be so complicated ?
